Postdoc Jean-Francois Camenen was visiting School of Computing and Engineering Sciences in Durham between 31 August and 12 September 2014.

Visit of the Hadrian’s wall and the Housesteads Roman Fort was made during the weekend of 6 and 7 of September.

Numerical simulations of the experiments made in Oxford were carried out. Contact detection algorithm in both sofware Solfec and LMGC90 were studied and compared. The more suitable functions of Solfec have been identified in order to model the experiments.
